Ingredients
  

Fruits

  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced Use a mix of different apple varieties for best flavor.
  • 2 cups blackberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Adjust depending on the sweetness of fruit.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Feel free to add a pinch of nutmeg or clove for a unique twist.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Brightens the flavors of the fruit.

Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • a pinch salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples and blackberries together with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and a pinch of salt for the crumble topping.

Baking

  • Spread the fruit mixture in a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the fruit mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.

Notes

Serve warm, ideally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
