  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz) Provides creaminess and flavor.
  • 0.5 cup milk To thin out the soup and add richness.
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce Enhances flavor depth.
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper For a bit of spice.
  • 1.5 cups fried onions For topping and added crunch.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper until well combined.

Baking

  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
  • After 25 minutes, remove the dish from the oven and stir the casserole.

Serving

  • Top with fried onions.
  • Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the onions are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.

Notes

For a fresher taste, use fresh green beans instead of canned ones. Experiment with different toppings, like crushed crackers or cheese, for added flavor. Make sure to stir the casserole halfway through baking for even cooking.
